Mr. Blake loved to work in his garden. But sadly, he had fractured his leg. He was feeling awful, for he missed his gardening a lot. A few children observed this. They felt sorry for Mr. Blake. Peggy said, “Mr. Blake is such a nice man. I feel sorry for him.” Ted said, “I remember that he had once mended my bicycle.” Pete suggested, “Why don’t we help Mr. Blake by taking care of his garden?” Everyone agreed to this. So, all of them got down to working in the garden. After a few hours, they had finished their work. Then they rang Mr. Blake’s bell. Mr. Blake came slowly and opened the door. The children cried, “Mr. Blake, we have a surprise for you. Come with us.” They took Mr. Blake to his garden. Mr. Blake was stunned to see his garden. He was very happy and so were the children.
