In a big house, there lived a kitten. It had everything it wanted but still it was disturbed by something. This something was the cuckoo bird. The kitten muttered, “The next time the bird puts its beak out, I will get it.” But what the kitten did not know was that cuckoo bird which had made her life miserable was in reality a wooden bird inside a clock. It only came out to tell the time. Time passed. The kitten waited for the bird to come out. After a while, the clock door opened and the bird came out and said, “Cuckoo! Cuckoo!” Just then, the kitten jumped up and tried to put its paw on the bird but it did not reach the bird. Instead, it hit the pendulum of the clock which fell and broke. The poor kitten was given a good beating for this.
