Once there was a milkmaid called Jenny. She was going to the market to sell milk. She was carrying the pot of milk on her head. While going, she started thinking. She thought, ‘I would sell the milk and buy many eggs. These eggs would hatch into chickens which would become hens. Then I would sell their eggs. I would keep some hens in my house and roast them. I would sell the chicken and buy a pig. When the pig grows up, I would sell it and buy a cow and a calf. I would enjoy seeing them jump in the grass.’ Without a thought, Jenny herself jumped and in the process the milk pot fell down. Jenny was dismayed. All the milk was on the floor. The hens, the pigs and the cows vanished in a second. Jenny realized that it was useless to day-dream.
