The Austin family was on a night walk. They carried their torches along. There were many mosquitoes about as it was a warm summer evening. Suddenly, they saw something glowing. It was a glow-worm. They all looked at it in excitement. Daddy said, “Do you know that a glow-worm is not a worm but an insect?” The children were surprised to hear this. They kept watching the glow-worm. Sara said, “I would really like to be a glow-worm. Then I would always glow and never be afraid of the dark.” Father interrupted and said, “Come on! Let us go on.” The family continued walking. Soon, they saw many fireflies. They were pretty, sparkling lights. To see them was like seeing people carrying torches.
