Once, a duck gave birth to five ducklings. She saw them and noticed that one of the ducklings was not at all like the others. He was ugly! Soon, the ugly duckling realized this and left home. But life was hard for him. The weather kept changing. He also had to protect himself from the bad weather and also from hunters. Sometimes, he had to stay hungry. One day, while walking, the duckling came to a little house. Tired, he fell asleep at the door. When he got up, he found himself on a mat in front of a warm fire with some food! The owner of the house had rescued him. But with the change of season, the duckling returned to the river. As he bent his head to drink water, he saw the reflection of the most beautiful white bird! The ugly duckling had changed into a wonderful swan!
