Long ago, a fairy was born with black wings. Her parents named her Ebony and said, “Ebony, you were created for a special purpose.” As Ebony grew up, the other fairies teased her and made fun of her black wings. Ebony remembered her parents’ words and remained cheerful and happy. One day, a clan of witches attacked fairyland and captured all the fairies and wizards. Since, Ebony had black wings, she blended with the black curtains and the witches missed her. Brave Ebony quietly followed the witches to their cave. Once there, Ebony made a lot of noise with her magic. As the witches ran out to find out about the noise, Ebony freed the fairies and the wizards. Then, everyone worked together and cast a spell to bind the witches to the cave forever. When they returned to fairyland, the Queen Fairy honoured Ebony for her bravery and wisdom. No one ever teased her again!
