The Magic Box

Once, a woodcutter had two sons, Jason and Trevor. Jason was very lazy and greedy. He did not do any work and always asked his father for money. Trevor was very hard-working and helped his father cut logs. The woodcutter fell sick. So, he called his two sons and said, “Jason, I leave my house and money for you and Trevor, take this box.” Jason was happy but Trevor was sad. He wondered, ‘What mistake have I made? Why did father not give me the house or money?’ Soon, the woodcutter died. Jason told Trevor to leave the house and go. Poor Trevor took the box and left. As night dawned, he kept a few coins in the box and slept under a tree. When he woke up in the morning, he was shocked. The box was overflowing with coins! Now, Trevor understood that his father gave him a magic box. He lived happily ever after.
