Lily and Rose were elf sisters who had heard a lot about the butterfly garden on the other side of the ‘Blue Mountain’. One morning, they decided to go there, so they packed a picnic basket. When they reached the butterfly garden, they were amazed. They saw the butterflies of different colours and admired their beauty. It was lunch time and Lily asked, “Rose! Did you bring butter or jam for the sandwiches?” Rose said, “Sorry! I forgot to bring both.” Then suddenly, some butterflies flew towards them. Lily exclaimed, “Look! The butterflies are forming an arrow to the top of the tree.” The elves climbed up the tree and saw a beehive. The gnomes had taken some of the honey and the bees had gone after them. The elves took the left-over honey and made delicious sandwiches out of them. Lily and Rose thanked the butterflies and went home, thoroughly enjoying their visit to the butterfly garden.
