On Saturday, there was a Christmas party at school. Poor Penelope did not have a nice dress to wear. Her mother did not have enough money to buy her a new dress. Penelope became sad. Then she thought, ‘God helps…sincerely.’ Penelope prayed to God. “Dear God! I will be a good girl to my mom. I will help my mom and I will never trouble her. Dear Holy Father! I want a new dress for the Christmas party at school.” “Amen!” Penelope thought that she clearly heard God’s voice. It was Saturday morning. Penelope still did not have the new dress. The party was about to start in a few hours. Suddenly, she saw her mother come rushing into the house. She brought a pretty golden frock. “I got Christmas bonus, so here is a new dress for you,” the mother said. Penelope understood God had answered her prayers.
