Jerry’s mother had sent him to the forest to gather some blueberries for a blueberry pie. “Follow the path and don’t talk to strangers,” warned his mother before Jerry left with a basket. Just as Jerry was plucking blueberries, he noticed an ugly and small man behind the bushes. He was staring at Jerry from a long time. When Jerry’s basket was full, he started heading home. Suddenly, he felt that he was being followed and turned around. It was the ugly small man! “Come with me, little fellow. I will give you candies and cakes,” he said in a rough voice. “Sorry, I don’t want them,” said Jerry, and he walked away quickly. When he reached home, he told his mother about the ugly small man. “He was a goblin! Goblins lure little children with treats and take them far away. I am glad you followed my advice, Jerry!” said his mother and she hugged him.
