Gerald and his parents went to a beach, one evening. As he was making sand-castles, Gerald found a shining yellow stone. He picked it up and washed it in the sea water. Then, he put it in his pocket. Just then, he looked up at the sky and asked aloud, “I wonder why the sea looks blue.” “That is because it reflects the colour of the sky,” said a tiny voice. Gerald looked around and there was no one. His parents were taking a long walk. Curiously, he asked, “Who was that?” “It’s me! I am the magic stone in your pocket. I can answer all your questions,” said the yellow stone. Gerald was surprised! But a thought struck him and he left the yellow stone by the sea. “Don’t you want to know all the answers?” asked the stone. “Not through magic. I will study, question and learn,” said Gerald and he walked away.
