Prince James was always intrigued by a tower that stood atop a hill. His parents had told him never to go there. “I must go to the tower and see for myself,” he decided one day. When Prince James reached the foot of the hill, some soldiers tried to stop him. But he did not listen and rode to the tower alone. When he reached the tower, he saw that it had no door, just windows. Prince James quickly climbed the tower using footholds in the bricks. As he climbed in, something heavy fell on his feet. Then from far within the tower, he heard a growl. Soon, he felt furry claws touch him and something move on his head. Prince James was scared! He quickly jumped out of the window and rode home at once. “We have entrapped the most dangerous creatures in the tower by magic,” said his father. Prince James never went to the tower again.
