Once upon a time, a hare, a squirrel and a deer were great friends. They lived and frolicked together. They enjoyed life. As good friends, they shared secrets. Good friends should not tell their secrets to others. One day, the hare and the squirrel found a tree full of apples. “We can all enjoy the apples, but you must keep it a secret,” the hare and the squirrel decided. Then they met the deer and told him the secret because the deer was their friend. The deer promised not to tell anyone about the apple tree. But when they came to the riverside, the deer told all the animals present there about the tree’s apples. They all went to the tree and ate its apples. The hare and the squirrel were very angry with the deer. They said, “We cannot be friends with you, as you did not keep the secret.” The deer was sad, but he learnt his lesson.
