Once, there lived a kind king. His name was Arnold. Everyone spoke about the kindness of King Arnold. He had no children. He treated a farmer’s son like his own child. He taught the farmer’s son everything necessary to be a good ruler. But the boy had one weakness. He did not have the patience to wait. King Arnold wanted to teach him the importance of patience. So, the king took him to the edge of the forest. Through the trees, they could see a treasure box. The king instructed, “You have to wait till afternoon. Once the sun is overhead, you can enter the forest and get back the treasure.” King Arnold left after instructing. The farmer’s son was tempted to enter the forest at once, but managed to wait. Finally, at noon, he entered the forest and got the treasure. The king was pleased. The farmer’s son had learnt patience.
