Matthew loved visiting foreign nations and learning their ways. Matthew had arrived in China. He loved the Chinese tea and observed the Chinese tea-sellers. Their tea tasted different and he liked the way it was served. One evening, while walking along the market place in China, Matthew came across a tea-seller. The tea-seller was selling a bowl of tea for a certain amount of money. He measured the exact amount of tea using a cup so that the drinker might not get even an extra inch more than he had paid for. Matthew thought he would be clever, so he asked the tea‑seller, “Could you sell me half a bowl of tea?” The tea-seller smiled as he took out a bowl and poured half of the tea from the other bowl into it. Matthew understood that there were more ways than one to measure the tea.
