Charles loved boating. Every evening, he and his father would row across the river. Charles’s father never allowed him to go boating on his own. Every evening, he waited for his father to come. If he came late, Charles would want to run alone to the river for boating. One day, Charles’ father said that he was very busy that day. He asked Charles not to go alone for the boat-ride. But Charles became restless by evening and decided to go alone. He was thrilled as the boat glided across the river. After a while, the boat got stuck in seaweed. Then, it started to rain. Charles panicked. He did not know what to do. Luckily, his father came looking for him. He rescued him. Charles had never been more relieved in his life. “I am sorry, dad. I promise I will never go boating again,” Charles said. The father was happy.
