Kaddish felt very lonely. He was a fire‑breathing dragon, so everyone would run away from him in alarm. Although Kaddish was a fire-breathing dragon yet he did not want to hurt anyone. He was a nice dragon. He was disappointed that no one came near to him. All the fairies, imps, goblins, gnomes and the people would pass him by. None of them even looked at him. So, he stopped calling them. One day, Marshall, a young boy, was visiting the neighbouring village across the forest. He saw Kaddish sitting all alone and approached him. “Go away!” said Kaddish in alarm, “I am a fire‑breathing dragon, so you may get hurt.” “I doubt that. You see; I am immune to fire,” said Marshall. Kaddish realised that differences are what make people special and true friends are not hard to find even if you breathe out fire!
