The Seventh and Last Voyage of Sindbad the Sailor

Though I had determined never to undertake a voyage yet, I was unable to refuse the Caliph’s earnest request to travel to the Indian city of Serendib. The King of Serendib received me with warmth and happiness as he was very happy to receive several exquisite gifts from the Caliph.

After entertaining me, the King allowed me to travel back. While returning calamity struck in the form of pirates. Many were killed by the pirates but I was lucky to survive. They forced me to take a bow and arrow and kill elephants for their tusks. I killed one and the master was happy. I killed several elephants in the process. Once the elephant dragged me to a place where several dead elephants were there, as if to show me thousands of tusks available.

The master was so happy to see so many tusks that he wanted to send me back to his country. He also said that he killed elephants because they killed several of his men. I reached Baghdad and the Caliph was very happy about my return.  Sindbad invited Hindbad and daily visitors to feasts thereafter.
