There lived a man in Baghdad much disgusted with his life. Only when one night a man in his dreams said, “Go to Cairo, where treasure awaits you”, he set forth to Cairo and went to a mosque to rest.
In a nearby house where thieves struck, people’s noise couldn’t make them succeed in their activity and they ran away. But instead Police Chief found this man in the house and thinking him to be the thief beat him mercilessly. On being asked of his identity, the man narrated him his dream.
Chief was so amused that he gave him some money and asked him to go home in Baghdad. Later, the Chief also shared with the man, that he had dreamt thrice about a treasure under the fountain in a certain house in Baghdad but he did not go to seek as it was only a dream.
The man realized that the description the Chief of the house in Baghdad matched his own house. So he rushed back to Baghdad and dug under the fountain in his garden, and to his utter surprise, he found a great treasure. Strange are the ways of God.
