The mechanism fan was discovered by Omar-Rajeen Jumala on 27 November, 1830. This was a fan with an air pump inside it. This fan was made up for coal mines, factories and the industries where the heat was more; it decreased the temperature of that area and made it cool. In the ancient time, up to 500 BC, there were ceiling fans. A rope was connected in the fan to move it forth and back; it was named as Punkah and the person who pulled or drag the rope is called as punkahwala.
In the 19th century, the century of industrial revolution, water wheels presented the new fan named as belt-driven table fans. With the help of wooden and blades of metal they placed over the heat or upper part of fans which were used to start and drive the machinery. Many of the children have injured their hands and fingers due to table fans.
