Once upon a time, Sheikh Nasreddin was sitting at the window of his house. It was raining heavily. Suddenly, he saw his neighbour running in the rain. Sheikh Nasreddin called out, “This rain is a gift from God. Why are you running from it?” The neighbour was confused and did not know what to say. He felt ashamed and started walking and got wet. One day, Nasreddin was walking and the rain started pouring heavily. Now, his neighbour who was sitting at his window watched him running. He called out, “Why are you running from the rain that is a gift of God?” Nasreddin smartly said, “Look, I am running because I don’t want to spoil God’s gift by stepping on it. That is why I am running.” So, he ran to his house without getting too wet.
