Once, Sibu, a stork and Nibu, a fox, lived in the jungle and were in the same class. They were fast friends and always played together. But Nibu was addicted to play tricks on others. He also decided to make fun of Sibu. One day Nibu invited Sibu to dinner. “Brother Stork, please come for some delicious home-cooked food, tonight,” the fox said. In the evening, Sibu went to visit Nibu. The fox brought out delicious-smelling soup on a flat plate. He placed the plate in front of the stork.
While the stork had trouble sipping his soup, the fox lapped his share up and laughed at the stork. “You have been so gracious to me. I must return the favour,” said the stork. “You are invited to dinner at my house tomorrow.” Then the next day, when the fox came to visit the stork, he served him cooked fish in a pitcher. While the stork happily ate her fish with her long beak, the fox was left whining and hungry. The cunning fox had learnt his lesson and stopped playing tricks on the stork.
