One day, a jackal was roaming around in a thick forest in search of food. Suddenly, it saw a wild boar who was rubbing his tusks against the trunk of a tree.
After a lot of thinking the jackal was unable to understand why the boar was doing like this. So the jackal asked curiously, “Why are you sharping your tusks, friend?”
“To face the hunters,” the boar replied calmly.
“There is no hunter in sight; where is the danger then?” the jackal asked surprisingly. “But the forest is always full of dangers,” the wild boar showed his intelligence. “I assure you, dear friend, there is no danger near you,” the jackal said in a confident manner.
“You are absolutely right my friend,” replied the boar, “But will it be wise to dig a well when a fire has broken out?” The boar further said, “Who knows when I’ll have to face any enemy. Then I may not get time to sharpen my tusks.”
Moral : Always be careful about coming dangers.
