Your Dominant Side (61 Brilliant Biology Experiments)

You will need:

1. Pen or pencil
2. Paper (to record your findings)
3. One cup of water
4. Ball

Take this fun experiment to learn which eye, hand or foot is dominant.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Take the paper, and write ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ on top, making 2 columns.
2. After each experiment, note down which side of your body is more dominant.
3. Once records are created, draw conclusions.
   Eye: To identify which eye is dominant, try the following. Which eye do you wink with?
   Hand: The hand with which you write is mostly your dominant hand. For further proof, try picking up a cup of water with any one hand.
   Foot: Throw a ball. Try to run forward and jumping off one leg. Which leg is it? While playing a sport, which leg do you favour to kick the ball?

RESULT

It is a fact that 90% of the people in the world are right-handed, whereas 80% are right-footed and a lesser percentage of those—70% favour their right eyes. This is because our body seems to have more freedom to choose which eye or foot to use as the dominant one.
