This saying holds good for those persons who have no knowledge about what they do. They try to hide their weakness by blaming other people or circumstances. Let us take an example. A painter who is a novice in his profession will not be able to produce master pieces in the early stages of his career. So he starts blaming his environment, his brushes, paints and whatsoever. He is not going to let others know that he is not well-versed in the art of painting. Similarly, a teacher who is not efficient or capable of teaching students blames his students or the books. He never discloses the fact that he does not posess a sound knowledge of his subject. The world is full of such people who pretend to show what they are not. In doing so, they take resort to the blame-game which enables them to hide their shortcomings. An inexperienced dancer, on being asked why he does not dance properly, replies that the floor on which he is dancing is not levelled on all sides.
