A balanced diet contains all the things which are necessary for our body. It contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins in the right amount. We get carbohydrates from sugar and starches. Wheat flour and rice contain carbohydrates. Milk, fish, meat, eggs, nuts, cheese and pulses contain proteins. Milk, butter, oil and coconut contain fats. Fruit and vegetables contain minerals. Butter, nuts and many fruit and vegetables contain different kinds of vitamins. A balanced diet is a must for proper growth.
