Last year, I, along with two of my friends went to see the final match of the Sahara Cup between India and Sri Lanka. The venue, Ferozeshah Kotla grounds, was jampacked with enthusiastic fans. The match, scheduled to start at a.m., started with Saurav Ganguly winning the toss for India and electing to bat. India got a fine start with Sachin Tendulkar and Sehwag scoring runs with ease. With fans cheering from all sides, India reached 100 in just 11 overs. But soon, the Sri Lankan bowlers got the better of the Indian team. India ended the innings at 297. Sri Lankan started with the ace batsman Dilshan and Sangkara hitting boundaries one after the other. But soon, Sri Lankan batsmen fell to some excellent bowling by Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja who again claimed the show by taking 5 wickets by giving only 23 runs. The innings ended at 282 with all the batsmen out and 10 balls to spare.
