Last year, I, along with two of my friends went to see the final match of the Sahara Cup between India and Sri Lanka. The venue, Ferozeshah Kotla grounds, was jampacked with enthusiastic fans. The match was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. It started with M.S. Dhoni winning the toss for India and choosing to bat first.
India got to a fine start with Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag scoring runs with ease. With fans cheering from all sides, India reached 290 in 50 overs.
Sri Lanka started with the ace batsmen, Dilshan and Sangakara hitting boundaries one after another. But soon, Sri Lankan players fell to some excellent bowling by Harbhajan and Jadeja who again claimed the show by taking 5 wickets by giving only 23 runs. The innings ended at 282 with all the batsmen out
