Ten-year-old Rhea was unable to sleep. She was worried about her exam the next day. As she tossed and turned in bed, she heard something crash in her parents’ bedroom. Startled, she tiptoed to their bedroom. From a small crack in the doorway, she saw two men tie her father to the chair. “Give us the keys to your safe,” one of the men was saying. Rhea was scared but she could not watch her father in pain. Moving quietly, she went to the kitchen and picked up two jars containing chilli powder and turmeric. She hurriedly mixed them both and rushed into her parents’ bedroom. Catching the thieves unaware, she threw the spice mix into their eyes. The men screamed out in pain. Using the opportunity, Rhea untied her father and they tied the thieves to the chairs! Soon, the police arrived and took them to jail.
