Once, Sheikh Chilli was accompanying his master to another town for some work. They reached an inn at night. The master went in, telling Sheikh to give his horse a good massage so that he might become fresh by morning. Sheikh started giving the horse a rub but fell asleep right there, out of exhaustion. He woke up in the morning and quickly looked for the horse. The horse was nowhere to be seen. But in the grass, he saw two ears sticking out. He lifted the ears and saw that it was actually a rabbit! Just then, the master came out and asked Sheikh to get his horse. Sheikh stood there holding the rabbit, showing it to his master. The master repeated loudly, “Get my horse, you fool!” But Sheikh kept lifting the rabbit higher and higher and said, “This is your horse. It has become a rabbit by the rubbing he got.” The frustrated master told Sheikh to take a year’s salary but to leave him in peace!
