Once, some children were playing football in the playground. Meanwhile, across the road, a blind man was trying to cross the road. As soon as he crossed the road, his foot slipped into a puddle and he fell. All the children, except Zoey, started laughing. She rushed towards him and helped him. An ice-cream vendor, too, went to help the blind man to get him on his feet. The blind man thanked and blessed both of them before moving on. The ice-cream vendor said to Zoey, “Come, child, have your favourite ice-cream. You deserve a treat for your good deed.” Just then, it started raining. Since Zoey was in the ice-cream stall, she was dry. The other children were drenched. When the rain stopped, the ice-cream vendor said to the other children, “How did it feel to be wet and cold? You should learn from Zoey. It is easy to laugh at someone but very difficult to try and help him.” All the children were ashamed.
