Connaught Place, the most fashionable market of New Delhi, has a beauty of its own. People who have seen different capital lawns of the world, say that it is the most beautiful. The Connaught Place is a circular market which has a wonderful symmetry.
As the lights are switched on at night, the whole market looks like a fairy land. Soothing lights and beautiful decorations in and outside the shops make the market a very beautiful place. I was wonder- struck to see it. Every show window made me more excited.
I stood at a corner near the Regal. There was a great stream of men, women and children. The continuous movement of cars, taxis, scooters, etc. was very surprising. The park in front of the Regal was crowded. A band played sweet music there.
As I went inside a coffee house, I met a different world. Everyone there was at leisure. People talked and laughed. There was an atmosphere of joy and rest. In short, it was a wonderful evening that I passed. Since then I have been going there now and then, but my joy goes on increasing at the wonderful improvements of all kinds recently made there by the N.D.M.C.
