Emma was an expert rock climber. One day, when she was climbing a cliff above the sea, it began raining all of a sudden. Emma waited for the rain to stop. But soon the raindrops lashed against her face, making it difficult for her to hang on to the cliff. Little rocks around her crumbled apart and fell into the sea below, but Emma was not the one to be scared. Suddenly, Emma remembered her trainer’s words: “When the weather is bad, wait for a whale. It will lead you safely ashore.” Luckily enough, Emma heard the shrill call of a whale. When the whale swam near the rock, Emma jumped on it. Her heart was thumping. She was riding on the whale’s back! Then she got off the huge creature and followed it as it swam towards the shore. Emma’s presence of mind and her courage had led her to safety.
