A Whisper in the Night

Though Gideon believed in God yet he was still scared of the fact that his army was too small as compared to the Midianites. God ordered him to attack the army and said that the victory would be his for sure. If he was scared then God asked him to go down with his servant Purah and find the fact himself. He assured Gideon that he would be encouraged by what he would hear from the soldiers. On God’s instruction, he and Purah went to hear what the Midinites had to say. He heard one of the soldiers saying that he had a strange dream where he saw a barley loaf rolling down on their camp and damaging it. Gideon and his friend understood what the dream meant and happily returned back to their camp. He was glad to know that the army was scared of him and not his enemy army.
