One day, Abu Suwaid with his company of friends entered a garden to buy fruits. He saw an old woman, having a bright face, combing her white hair with an ivory comb. When they stopped by her side, she did not pay heed to them. They then told her if she would dye her hair, she would become younger and more beautiful.
The old woman replied, “The dyeing would though make me younger, but not my age. I have only a few years remaining of my life.” She had had her piece of enjoyment when she was young. Abu said to her, “I couldn’t understand your reluctance to the forbidden pleasures of life.” Saying these words, he went back his way with his friends.
