Across River Jordon

The spies after arriving at their camp were quite and spoke to one another about the land that God was going to present them. The people had to cross River Jordon, which was not an easy task at all. They also had to transport goats, sheep, women, babies and small kids. At times, the river was flooded, which made the task more challenging. The surrounding lands and jungle, most of the times were submerged into the river. Joshua was nervous. However, he reconfirmed himself that God was with him and there was nothing to worry about. Quite surprisingly, the river water made way as soon as the priest entered into it. Joshua walked up to the middle of the river and stopped so that people might walk to cross the path easily. As a task, he asked the people of twelve tribes to pick up a stone and place it on the bank, to build a mound. While replying to the question to one of the members, he said, “In future, narrate the interesting story to your children, about God and how He safely helped us to cross the River.”
