Air Hostess working in International AirLines, have an age limit of both 18-35 years. Those women who clear their written exams have to go through an interview. During an interview general knowledge, IQ and intelligence is been examined. Most of the questions are of psychology, answers to which should be given with due diligence. To become an Air Hostess, it is necessary to clear the written examinations. Besides that she should have knowledge of geographical condition of both her own country as well as of the foreign countries. She should also know the art of writing letters in different important occasions. During the interview, they have demonstrate both their psychological and mental growth. Selected girls are sent to Mumbai, where Air India provides training in their training centres. Training centres of Indian Airlines is in Hyderabad. During training the girls were taught about the technical safety and personal abilities. They were also taught about the importance of first-aid, medicine, way of talking, smiling, welcome and discipline etc. At present some institutions of private sector are also offering 3 to 4 months training course for Air Hostess.
Air Hostesses are given high class modern training. Air Hostesses are taught to maintain homely atmosphere right from take off to landing, so that travellers reach their destination in cool and easy atmosphere. Air Hostesses are trained in such a way that they can prepare even milk, bottles for infant children. Girls who are interested in thinking a career in the field of Air Hostess should be calm and polite so that without any flick of anger they could deal with the passengers who feel uncomfortable with their numb ears as they are travelling for the first time by air.
