Akshayapatra

Sage Durvasa went to meet the Pandavas who welcomed him and his disciples. The sage went to bathe in the river, saying he would like food to be served when they returned. When the Pandavas’ exile began, Surya the Sun-god, gave Yudhishthira a magical vessel, akshayapatra, so that they might never be hungry. It could feed any number of guests at mealtime. After that, when Draupadi had eaten, it would remain empty till the next meal. Durvasa had come just after the meal was over, so the akshayapatra was empty. It would not refill till the next meal. So, his request left the Pandavas worried. Draupadi prayed to Sri Krishna, who appeared before her and asked for food. When she showed him the empty akshayapatra, it had some grain of rice and some vegetable. Krishna ate it and was satisfied. When Durvasa came, he said he was full! Krishna had worked another miracle.
