RESULT
The corn syrup or honey represents plasma, which is comprised of 55% of our blood. The bright red candy is symbolic as the red blood cells or RBCs, which make up 44% of our blood. They contain haemoglobin which carries oxygen to the various parts of our body. The white jelly beans symbolize the WBCs or white blood cells which make up 5% of our blood. Larger than RBCs in size, the WBCs are designed to fight infections specifically. Lastly, the sprinkles represent platelets which are comprised of 5% of our blood and are helpful to clot out blood.
