One day, a little boy and his sister were fighting over a cookie. Neither of them wanted to share it. They fought for a long time. When they finally stopped, they saw an ogre was standing over them. The ogre lifted them and placed them high on the top of a tree. He said to them lovingly, “Do not be afraid, dear children. I saw you both fighting and came to tell you a story.” Then, the ogre told them the story of a selfish rich man. He did not share his wealth with the poor. So, everybody stopped talking to him. Soon, the rich man had a lot of money but no friends. He died lonely. “So, children,” said the ogre, “Always learn to share.” The children thanked the ogre. They broke the cookie into three parts. They kept a piece each for themselves and gave the third to the ogre.
