Tim lived in a palace with his family, who worked for the king. His grandmother was ill and barely able to move out of the bed. She was always sad and grim. Tim wanted her to be happy. One day, he saw a rose- bush filled with beautiful roses. Tim decided to take one to give to her grandmother, thinking that no one would notice. The grandmother smiled looking at the rose and slowly started recovering. He did the same thing the next day, and continued until, one day, the king noticed how only a few flowers were left in the bush. He was so angry that he called everyone in the palace. As soon as Tim spoke the truth, the king was very angry. However, on hearing what he had done with the flowers, a smile appeared on the king’s face. He said, “Tim, I couldn’t have thought of a better use of my roses.”
