The Amazonia or the Amazon Rainforest is a moist broadleaf jungle that covers most of the Amazon basin of South America. Spread over a vast area that covers nine nations, the Amazon Rainforest encompasses 70,00,000 sq.km of which 55,00,000 sq.km is covered by the rainforest. This vast area represents more than half of the planet’s remaining rainforests. The Amazon Rainforest has the largest and diverse tract of tropical rainforests in the world, with approximately 390 billion individual trees divided into 16,000 species.
