Gregory always went with his father to the market. He loved the small lessons that his father taught him from everyday life. One day, Gregory’s father had to visit the tailor and buy groceries. So, Gregory accompanied him. The tailor had ruined his father’s coat, so they first went to the tailor’s shop to explain the problem. The tailor was genuinely sorry for his mistake and promised to alter it perfectly in a day’s time. Gregory was impressed with the tailor’s polite and gentle manners. Then they went to a grocer’s shop to buy some groceries. There, Gregory noticed that the salesman mixed his customers’ orders. When they complained, he was rude to them. The customers complained to the shop owner and the salesman lost his job. Gregory’s father pointed out, “Gregory, if one accepts one’s mistake, one is forgiven, but if you are arrogant, you lose what you have.” That day, Gregory learnt an important lesson!
