Once, there lived a king who had twin daughters, Angela and Maria. One day, he said to his daughters, “Which one of you wants to be my successor?” Angela and Maria could not decide and asked their fairy godmother to help them. The fairy godmother said, “First tell me, which one of you will rule better than your father?” Angela and Maria were honest girls. They realised that neither of them was capable enough to rule. So, they again asked the fairy godmother for help. The fairy godmother found two wonderful tutors. Angela and Maria took them to the king, and said, “They will teach us to rule the kingdom well and we can do it together.” The king happily accepted. In the next few years, Angela learnt about warfare and leading the army. Maria learnt about solving the people’s problems. Soon, they became capable of running the kingdom together. The king happily retired.
