Georgia rockcress is a perennial herb with unbranched stems up to 3 feet tall. It generally grows on steep river bluffs with shallow soil on rock or with exposed rock outcroppings. The small white four-petalled flowers bloom in a loosely branched cluster at the top of the stem. The basal leaves are toothed and spoon-shaped, while those on the lower stems are narrow and strap-like. The plant prefers a sunny situation on dry to moderately moist soil for growth. Georgia rockcress plant is listed as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act.
