Festive preparations in Ayodhya were being made. All the three queens including Kaushalya came to Nandigram. In the morning, the Pushpaka Vimana landed at Nandigram. Rama got down from the Vimana and embraced Bharata. Then, he bowed to his preceptor Sage Vasishtha and met his mothers like a lost calf which gets united with its mother after a long time. Lakshmana and Seeta also took the blessings of their mothers and worthy elders.
Rama, Seeta and Lakshmana took off their saffron clothing and wore the finest robes. At the same time, Bharata handed over the rule of the kingdom to Rama. All sat in the chariot and moved towards the palace. Ayodhya’s citizens who were cheering a lot walked on both sides of the chariot.
The whole decorated city of Ayodhya was waiting for Rama. Soon, the people thronged to meet Rama. After spending a little time with his subjects, Rama went to the palace. Everyone started making preparations for Rama’s coronation the next day, as advised by the great Sage Vasishtha.
