Hardly an inch in length, this insect is reddish brown and has long legs that hang down when it flies. Its diet consists of everything from nectar to invertebrates like larvae of moths and butterflies. Eggs are laid in spring. The eggs hatch in early summer and are always comprised of females. Males are produced after that for the rest of the summer season.
