Interesting fact : The assassin bug got its name because of the way it eats its prey. It first stings its prey with a poison which dissolves the prey’s tissues and then sucks out its tissues!

Only one generation of eggs is laid in a year. A single egg is laid in cracks and sheltered areas in summer. The resulting adults emerge by June. This bug’s diet is comprised of other small insects. Most of the species of assassin bugs can transmit diseases to humans.
