Atom bomb is always a burning topic among general people as it is one of the most dangerous weapons of the time. It works mainly on the theory of E=mc2 (energy=mass times the speed of light squared) which was given by physicist Albert Einstein. He was the main reason behind the invention of atom bomb as he dragged the attention of the then President Franklin Roosevelt in 1939 towards such use of his theory. So, later a specific project ‘The Manhattan Project’ was launched by the United States.
Robert Oppenheimer led the team and founded the way to refining Uranium 235 and by putting it together invented atom bomb. Finally, it was the project team who got credit for the invention of atom bomb.
Firstly, atom bomb was tested on 16 July, 1945, from the Basin of Jemez Mountains to dark skies successfully. At that time too, its destroying power had not been lessened in any way. The USA dropped two atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively in World War II.
