The Atomium is a building that is located in Brussels. It was originally designed for the 1958 Brussels World Fair. Known as one of Europe’s most bizarre buildings, the Atomium is 102 metres in height, with stainless steel spheres that house a museum, exhibit halls and other public spaces, including a restaurant in the top sphere. The spheres are connected with tubes that enclose stair, elevators and a lift.
Amazing Fact: The Atomium is a replica of a unit cell of an iron crystal that has been magnified 165 billion times.
